Pelle Italia s.r.l. is located in Arzignano,

a small town which over the last 60 years has not only become Italy’s main leather-producing centre, but also a leader on the world scene.

This district has been producing leather for at least seven centuries! And since the Second World War, Arzignano has emerged as the world capital in the industry for quality, style, technology and respect for the environment, accounting for 16% of world production and 65% of European production.
In 1993, after 10 years of experience matured working for several companies in the district, I decided to create an independent company, Pelle Italia s.r.l..
Since then our work has progressed successfully as testified by our long-standing relationship with so many of our customers.

The strength of the district

What does it mean to be located in the leather district? It means having a cluster of services relating to the numerous and varied leather production processes within a radius of just a few kilometres.
The area boasts over 50 chemicals companies whose technicians contribute enormously to the development and evolution of processes used in the leather industry.
Not to mention all those companies that are fundamental for the production of the widest range of articles, such as companies specialising in various drying methods for particular requirements, and companies that specialise in printing and embossing hides in hundreds of different patterns, or companies that perform splitting, shaving, perforation, etc..
This concentration of specialist companies creates a streamlined process that results in fast production times and lower costs.
